My 2012 interview with Joe Jackson.

I just got word via a friend of mine that singer, pianist, and composer Joe Jackson will be playing The Heights Theatre on June 16, 2026. His new album, Hope and Fury (“File under Bicoastal LatinJazzFunkRock!”), drops April 2026, and the PR and Marketing machine is already in motion, which is very old school, right? I am sure the combination of releasing an album to coincide with a world tour takes little bit of pre-planning. I saw Joe perform in Houston back when I was in High School, in support of his 1986 live album, Big World. It was a great show, with some radically rearranged and re-imagined versions of his songs, including a slow-as-molasses version of “Steppin’ Out.” I look forward to seeing and hearing him again next Spring.
