Excellent introduction to the series. I hope you can expand it in the future. Maybe your own "Art Dealer" book?

Maybe! The landscape has changed dramatically since the 80s!

Looking forward to this series, Chris!

PS How about Betty Moody and Sarah Foltz for the next phase?

There are so many inspiring people to speak to. We’ll see where this goes . . .

What a breath of fresh air you are Chris! As a survivor gallerist (😉) from … 1990’s back when many many artists (now dead) were alive and kicking … the reality of working in an Art Gallery and speaking the language of the Artist, the Language of the Educator, the Language of the Layman and the Language of the Buyer/Collector meant the grit of it all was exhausting and yet rewarding.

I’m really grateful you are diving into this multifaceted world and asking outrè questions that reflect your inquisitive nature.

Thank you! I really appreciate what you say about gallerists "speaking the language of the Artist, the Language of the Educator, the Language of the Layman and the Language of the Buyer/Collector." That is something I will keep in mind as I go forward with these conversations.

The first interview will be live later in March on the Glasstire website.

Great!!! this post couldn’t be more timely! At the hospital, I started a monthly multi-arts gallery (about a year ago) the Purple Door Gallery, which showcases my patients’ artworks (all art forms). Lately, I’ve been wondering whether I’ve become a ‘clinical arts gallerist’ or a ‘clinical arts curator’…and I’m still trying to understand the distinction between the two. I may need to ask the hospital to add one of those titles to my official job description 😊.

You continue to stretch and expand the definition of Clinical Arts Therapist, and your patients are the beneficiaries of this forward thinking.
